I'm actually proud of this

Hey everyone! I've decided to be merciful and give you all a sneak preview of a scene between Panic and Pilot that I wrote. I think it'll work great visually, although something about it seems a little familiar..... oh well. Tell me what you guys think of this 100% original script!

Pilot:
(Goes up to Panic’s trailer door)
Panic?
(knocks on door. Suddenly, music starts playing)
Do you wanna help me steal stuff?
C’mon, let’s go hold up a bank.
If you do we’ll be so glad we went
You’ll get fifty percent
So hey now, whaddya think?
We used to do this all the time
We’re partners in crime
I wish you would come outside!
Do you wanna help me steal stuff?
We don’t only have to steal stuff
Panic:
Go away Pilot!
Pilot: Okay Bye!

(a little while later (most likely the next day))
Pilot:
 (knocking)
Do you wanna help me steal stuff?
We’ll go and rob my brother blind!
And then We’ll prob’ly get caught by his wife
She’ll chase us with a knife
As we try to run away!
(no seriously, I think she wants me dead)
It’s kinda hard to carry,
All those bags of jewels,
When you are on your own!
(clink clank clink clank clink clank (scene of pilot trying to run with jangling bags of treasure)
Do you wanna help me steal stuff?

(orchestral)

Pilot:
(knocking)
Panic?
Please, I know you’re in there,
I miss you more than I can bear.
Let’s go out on a thieving spree
And together we
Shall steal all the silverware!
Grand larceny’s more fun, you see,
When it’s you and me,
So here’s what I’m asking you:
Will you come and help me steal stuff?
Panic:
Pilot, it is four in the morning and I am trying to sleep!
Pilot:
Is that a maybe?

I am not ashamed of this at all.

You may all go back to your lives now.

Love and sparkles,
Kayla

P.S Just in case you are unsure as to how the tune to this goes, here:

I see nothing wrong with this

Hello again readers! I'm sure you are wondering what I've been up to lately. I have been making the most beautiful computer background known to man, which, out of the goodness of my heart, I have decided to share with you all!

You're welcome.

You have no idea how happy this makes me. I may just make one smartphone background size for all you technologically connected if I feel like it and if you ask nicely. Whatever the case is, however,  I hope you enjoy just how whimsical this picture is! I'm not sure who's expression I like best--I had a lot of fun drawing all of them. Perhaps more fun than I should have!

I hope this brightened up your day!

Love and Sparkles,

Kayla

An update on Kayla

...Do you ever have those moments where you think, "I should have been born in a different era?" I know I do. Frequently. Sometimes, of course, the eras in mention surprise me. Just this morning, I was thinking, "I should have been born during the Great Depression." Which is not something one usually wishes. Usually, it's more like "whew, I sure dodged a bullet there!" But, upon moving home and having to clean my room (again) of all my stuff to make room for the new stuff, I've discovered that I am a pack rat-- I have random scraps of everything saved "just in case I might need it." I can't help it! I'm a crafter, and I've made some pretty cool things from random scraps I've found in my room. I kind of live by the Depression adage "Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without."The problem is, it makes my room very cluttered. Luckily, college puts things in perspective, so I've begun de-cluttering my room!

On another note, I get my wisdom teeth out tomorrow. Woooooooooooooo. Sigh. If I say anything funny, I will let you know. Most likely, I'll just cry during the various magical girl animes I will be watching while recovering not that I don't already do that I'm so pathetic!

I hope that you all have a wonderful day! Enjoy this fabulous weather!
Love and Sparkles,
Kayla

Top Ten weirdest things I've seen on campus

...though, the funny thing is, this is BYU, so odd things don't really phase you anymore. But, I thought I'd do a post featuring some of the weird and amazing things I've seen on campus. After all, they are the kind of thing you would only expect to see on BYU campus.

Also, as a public safety message to all my friends at UVU: Do not play in any sprinklers/outside water utilities (including like fountains) on campus!! My mom just told me that they've started putting weed killer in their sprinkler systems, which could have very bad effects on you!! So please play it safe. Thank you.

Okay, now that that is out of the way, on to the top ten list!!!!!!!!!!
10. Ducks. They are everywhere.
9. People in medieval costume fighting with swords.
8.
7.  Captain America and Iron Man. No bigee.*
6. How about the guy who put a couch on an electric wheelchair bottom and drove around campus like a boss? I wish I had a couch wheelchair.
5. Disney Princesses*
4. Llamas
3. Disney princesses and Llamas on. the. same. day.
2. Disney princesses posing with Llamas. I'm not even making this up.
And finally, last but not least................
..................................................
............................................
.........................................
....................................
...............................
.......................
...............
.........
......
....
...
..
.

1. Storm trooper (the star wars kind) flash mob. I don't even know why.
Well, I hope you all have a great rest of the semester!!!!!!! Study hard and ace all of those finals!

Love and sparkles,
Kayla

*This wasn't even on Halloween, for your information. There was a lot of weirder stuff on Halloween, but it didn't make the list because Halloween is kind of an excuse to be weird. Everything else took guts.

Dreamside's Only Hope

....You're kidding me, right? Everyone knows the Dream Oracle is USELESS! Completely useless I say!

For those of you who do not know who this lovely character is, I would recommend trotting (or clicking, as the case may be) on over here to see the marvelous webcomic Cucumber Quest, written by the lovely Gigi Digi!
The dream oracle actually isn't my favorite character--although she is quite hilarious in her ineptitude. I wonder, has she always been this way? Or have years and years of the same thing made her bored and careless?--but I felt like drawing some fan art, and I had an abundance of blue pens and stuff in my pencil bag, so I thought, Why not? Plus, it gave me an  excuse to draw long flowy dresses, which is always a bonus not like I need an excuse to draw long flowy dresses I don't have a problem go away
Favorite character wise, I'm torn between Almond, Nautilus, and Peridot as my favorite character. I absolutely adore Nautilus, but Almond is a wonderful character and Peridot is adorable--if I was to cosplay any of them, it would be Peridot. As far as villains go, Noisemaster is the best (And I'm not just saying that because he's short) But the Nightmare Knight is pretty boss too. Probably my favorite scene in the book so far goes something like this:
Nightmare Knight: ...I have heard a great many things about you, great hero.
Cucumber: (To Nautilus) THE NIGHTMARE KNIGHT IS SAYING WORDS AT ME! (sob)
Nightmare Knight:.... And it appears they're all true. Well, this was a complete waste of time.

Have a wonderful day!

Kayla

Testing Ducks

Today (My birthday!!! Yay!!!) I had to go take a test (not so yay...) in the lovely BYU testing Center! Anyway, on my way there, I passed a small flock of three ducks--two drakes and a hen. They were rooting around in the grass, quietly quacking contentedly to themselves. I said hello, of course, (One must always be polite to ducks, you see) and they kept on quacking. I went in and took my test--oh, and did you know that you get a free pencil that says "happy birthday" if you take a test on your birthday? Apparently, when they scan your ID card, it tells them it's your birthday, and they give you a pencil and apologize that you have to take a test on your birthday. I got a pretty good grade--in the 90s, which is all that matters--and was feeling pretty content. Then, in a wonderful surprise, when I exited the testing center (note that this is a different door than I entered) there were my three lovely ducks, sitting there in the grass, as if they were waiting for me! It made me really happy, so I said hello and wished them a lovely day. It feels magical to know that on this my birthday, there were three little ducks who cared about my testing experience.
...It's magical, okay? Let me have my moment; Do not question it.

Love and Birthday Sparkles!
Kayla
